Another bow holder and bigger bows

Here is another idea for a bow holder. It uses a big bow to decorate the top. From this, you can also see that bigger bows can be made. The close up picture gives an idea of what a larger bow would look like.




This picture shows a larger bow in my little girl's hair. It is a little big for her, and I was having trouble getting her to be a model, but it gives an idea. This bow was made on a snap clip, but it could be put on the alligator clip if you want them used for crochet hats or headbands in which you can interchange the bows.

Bow Holder

Once you get bows, everyone struggles with where do you put them. I have definitely run out of room at my house, so I have ventured into also making bow holders. This one matches my daughter's room, but it can be made in any color combination and with a variety of items at the top. You can see what it looks like with a few bows on it.

The bow holder is around 30 inches long and can hold between 15 to 20 bows depending on the size of the bows. If you have really large bows, it may only hold 10. The bow holder is $5.00 without a decorative item and $6.00 with one. If you are interested in a bow holder, let me know color theme. School Uniform bows

I had a request for bows to match a school uniform. I took the colors that were given to me for the uniform and made up a couple for them to decide which ones that they liked. I have added a new style, which is a double layer bow with corkscrew ribbons. It gives it some depth and allows it to fit older girls or ones with thicker hair a little better. On each of the bows, the corkscrew ribbon is yellow with white polka dots. It is then white and navy ribbon. Have a school uniform that you want to match? We can work with that.





I have also started using a second type of clip. Here is a picture of the two clips that I currently use, but if you know of another clip that is good for your little girl, let me know. I can see what I can find:

Extra bows

Here are some bows that I already have made. Most of them I have shown on here, but in case you are looking for bows right now, this gives you a chance to see if any of these match your needs. Special orders can definitely be taken, though, and if I run out of these, I will be happy to make similar ones.

Spring Bows

I have been unable to make a lot of bows lately because of time constraints, but I am back and motivated to make some for Spring. The weather definitely does not feel like it outside, but hopefully, it will be here soon, and I want to be prepared. Here are a few that I have recently made.

Brown and White polka dot and pink corkscrew and Green and White Corkscrew:



The ribbon is a brown background and with pastel colors on it. It is complimented with pink corkscrews:

For your information, I have priced the bows as following: The corkscrew bows are $4.00, and the small bows with a few corkscrews are $3.00.

More Information

I figured that it would probably help to have a little more information about these bows that I am making. Each of them are made on alligator clips, which I have found are the best for staying in fine, straight hair, like my little girl has.

This ribbon measures around 3" across.


The corkscrew bows measure between 3 1/2" to 4" across depending on how tightly the corkscrews are done.

Bows, Bows, and More Bows

I have found that my favorite ones to make involve the corkscrew ribbon. I love how the corkscrew ribbon looks on my little girl's pigtails. I also like adding the corkscrews to simple bows to give it a little extra something. These are some bows that I have made that I beginning to have extras of. Let me know if you are interested in any of these, or if you would like to pick your colors and your style.

First attempt

With much enthusiasm, I began my quest of starting to make hair bows. I searched how to do it and found the best method for myself. Here are some pictures of my first attempts and what became a game of trial and error!
